Last Sunday Libby, Leilei, and I drove the zipcar to my buddy Gina's house, where we joined Gina, her sister Andrea, and Andrea's daughter Rose on a trip to a very cool farm, Smolak's in North Andover.
The girls loved the farm animals, many of which--like the llama pictured here--weren't your typical farm animals. I'm sorry to report that one aggressive swan tried to bite Rosie, but he was obviously the one bad apple in the bunch.
Afterwards we picked raspberries! My girls picked enthusiastically, then refused to eat any of the berries. However, we had excellent ice cream instead.
It was a wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon, and I am most grateful to Gina for turning us on to such a fun spot.
Now, what to do with all those raspberries????????
